Whenever you see the word gauntlet in a workout schedule, it means s**t is about to get tough!
A gauntlet is a monstrous high rep set which begins as a dropset and transitions into an addset.
For example, if we were to perform a 70 rep gauntlet on a DB Skullcrusher, I would grab a few pairs of dumbbells and do this:
10 reps with 10’s
10 reps with 8’s
10 reps with 6’s
10 reps with 4’s
10 reps with 6’s
10 reps with 8’s
10 reps with 10’s
