Think of a STRIPSET as the bigger, nastier brother of DROPSETS.

Because while Dropsets are scheduled with reps, these literally go to FAILURE. When it shows up in a workout, it’ll look something like this:

LEG PRESS x10 (STRIPSET) (1 round)

Here’s how you’d perform it:

  • Load the machine with the max weight you could handle for x10 good reps.
  • When you’ve done your block of 10 good reps out, remove one plate from the machine and carry on with another 10 good reps.
  • Continue until you either run out of weight or you reach muscle failure. The more weight a machine allows (i.e. a Leg Press), Stripsets can really become devaststing techniques to drive muscle failure.
