SETUP: Ever seen Rocky IV? Then we know there’s a scene in which Stallone performs a triceps press with a bag of heavy rocks. This is a machine version of the same exercise. Use a high pulley and get into a split-stance to support your lower back. Notice how I lean forward to give myself as much power as possible.
REP: Elbows should be in tight, positioned just in front of your head (don’t let them travel where you cannot see them). Now press the weight in front of you and squeeze your triceps hard.
TIP: We can make this exercise even better by switching to an upright stance, like in the Overhead Cable Extension.
